A BIT ABOUT connor
Growing up in a farming community in the territory that he now represents for Dutch Openers has given Connor a close perspective on the kinds of weather, soil, and moisture conditions producers face in that part of the country.
Connor knows the people who farm in this area often face tough farming challenges, and that the growing season is usually short and the terrain is rugged. Soil can also vary greatly – from dry and rocky to rich and loamy, we have it all.
Connor’s practical experience combined with his degree in agriculture majoring in agronomy has given him a solid foundation when it comes to helping producers make the most of their growing opportunities.
He especially knows the value of taking the time to talk to producers individually so he can assess their unique soil conditions and specific challenges. These critical parts of the opener selection process help producers make the right choice for their individual farming operations.
Connor is enjoying being part of the Dutch Openers team. Continuously sharing industry insight and practical skills with the team helps him to strengthen knowledge, and enhances his opportunity to be a beneficial and valuable resource for producers.
Outside of work, in his spare time, Connor can usually be found fishing, sledding, camping, or playing baseball or hockey.
